I arrived at El Buen Samaritanao at seven a.m. I decided that I would compare the environment of the grounds to last Sunday’s post: “An El Buen Samaritano Evening.” This time we will start the blog with the end of my Sunday experience and refer to a morning quote written by Aldo Leopold:
“It is Strange that of all the multitude of creatures who must rise in the morning at some time, only these few should have discovered the most pleasant and least useful time for doing it. Early risers feel at ease with each other, perhaps because, unlike those who sleep late, they are given to understatement of their own achievements.”
Here is the last photo I shot of my once sunny Sunday morning. Within the two hours, I was able to see the partly cloudy skies become heavy with gray dense clouds. Before I left El Buen, this morning, I was able to experience a sprinkling of showers. I always love the smell of fresh rain permeating the air.
As I began my observations of El Buen this morning I noticed, right away, the abundance of bird’s throughout the grounds. There were more birds this morning than I had observed last Sunday evening. Here is how I started my Sunday morning at El Buen:
These pictures reflect the images and scenes while I walked the grounds of El Buen. As I was the only human walking the grounds. I had expected the traffic of Sunday church goers, however, between the times of 7:00 – 9:00 a.m. there was no human activity at El Buen. The grounds were left undisturbed only for nature to enjoy the quiet and freedom to enjoy the quiet grounds.
Here I was able to observe more life. I came across these potato bugs. More specifically referred to as Armadillidium Vulgare. At first I had my eye on one. I was trying to snap shots of the one I was following against a background that the Armadilidium Vulgare would stand out. I was fortunate enough to stumble on a whole little community of the species. They too were awake and moving this Sunday morning at El Buen.
The very last photo in this group of El Buen scenes I shot the sky at first view when I arrived at the grounds. The sun was rising and the light hit some of these images perfectly. I loved capturing the images at different angles while utilizing the natural light of the morning. I decided to show my Sunday morning experience with my ending first. I was able to take in more time at El Buen Samaritano and I’m really beginning to enjoy the beautiful scenery El Buen has to offer. The songs of all the birds is refreshing compared to the “noise” surrounding us in our everyday hectic lives.
As I mentioned, at the beginning of the blog, I felt some precipitation. At 8:37 a.m. sprinkles from the heavy gray clouds lightly blanketed El Buen and ended my visit at El Buen Samaritano this Sunday morning.
