Part I:
These images are from my Gestalt project in Visual Studies where the goal of the assignment was to create interesting photos with a strong emphasis on Gestalt principles. I believed I accomplished this goal in the following photographs by singling out the Gestalt principles of continuity and proximity. Continuity is shown with the path of the leaves in the first image, and the curves of the boot in the second image. Then, proximity is exhibited with the close ups of the boots and the leaves.
Part II:
The strongest aspect of these works is the color schemes and the compositions of them, however, the weakest aspect of them is that they are not exactly creative. While yes, the colors of the subjects are interesting, that is really are there is to these pictures. As much as I do like the photographs, I believe that they can be improved conceptually with better planning of the overall mood of the picture, while the technical skill could be improved by better angles and composition.
