Part I:
The alumni speakers were Anthony Zubia, Alejandro Ura, and Edith Valle. While Zubia and Valle are graphic designers and art directors, Ura works in managing events for SXSW. One main focus all of them brought up was their passion, as Zubia was able to be an art director for an art profit for years while Ura worked for campaign marketing for various game companies. While Valle is a newer alumni, she too expresses the want of finding a job that suits her passion. It was amazing to hear how different their lives despite all of them being creative individuals.
Part II:
Because of my interest in games, many of my desired internships are at game studios as either a programmer or an artist. Upon searching for these internships, I found one for last year as a concept artist at Bioware and I desperately hope that they will have such an internship like that available again soon.
