• Search by Genre, Themes, People Etc. or browse through the table of contents
• How to find the table of contents:
  • Select a Category (i.e., Genre, Theme, People) from the explore tab on the upper left hand corner of the webpage. 
  • In the top right hand corner, Select Table of Contents 
• There are Productions, Video Resources, Written Resources and Teaching Resources.

Fine Arts OneFile

• Search millions of articles about drama, music, art history, and film making
• If you sign in with your St. Edwards email address, you will be able to see search history, which could be helpful if you are doing research projects. 
• Search tools include topic finder, Subject Guide Search, and publication search
  • In the Topic Finder, you can input keywords and the database will generate a wheel of topics relating to those keywords. 
  • In the subject guide search you can search by subject as well as narrow your search to publication date, peer reviewed journals, and full text articles. 
  • In the publication search section you can search for specific publications as well as narrow your search by date, peer reviewed journals, type of publication, etc.

Play Index

• Classic and historical plays along with the works of contemporary playwrights
• Includes descriptive abstracts to summarize the plot and indicate musical requirements. 
• You can log in with your St. Edward’s Gmail if you want to be able to save articles to the database itself. 
• You can search by keywords or you can click search options below the basic search bar for more options 
• For more information on how to search the database, click the question mark on the right hand side of the search bar 
• At the top of the webpage, you have the option to browse by Works, Authors, or Periodicals 

Theater in Video

• Professors can create quizzes within the videos for students 
• Includes Academic Video Online Premium (AVON), Theater in Video, and Counseling and Therapy in Video
• Allows for performances to have educational value long after the curtain falls 
• Includes performances such as The Taming of the Shrew, Hamlet, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and more. 
• Contains performances of the  world’s leading plays and other videos such as film documentaries on the subject of theater, as well as interviews with performers, directors, and others in the field of performance arts.
