A Whole New World

The information age is when society has taken everything they have learned to create something new. The conceptual age is when society gains a new style of thinking to view things differently and from a different viewpoint. As we move into the conceptual age creativity plays a big role in how we work together to solve problems and issues.

In this new era of living creativity is in high demand when companies are looking for people to hire. In saying this it has lead to the increase in more people going to college and earning a masters in fine arts (MFA). When companies are hiring people with a MFA they are trying to compete with people overseas and at home to develop new concepts. In the very teach savvy world we live in today the push for new ideas and a new ways of thinking has increased. The number of people graduating with a degree in graphic design has increased in the last couple of years. These people have a big call in the work force when they graduate because businesses all across the world need people to design for them.

The use of art in the classroom is becoming a useful tool for professors to teach their students to pat attention to detail. Detail is very important in any degree people are working towards. If it’s in the medical field, business, or even engineering paying attention to detail goes a long way. It teaches students to slow down and assess the situation before they move forward. Allowing students to do this in the classroom through art gives the students a creative outlook on life and their everyday work in the classroom.

We can’t move forward in this new day in age if we can’t create new concepts and develop new programs for others to explore. The arts allow people to think creatively with no boundaries and it allows people to make mistakes and learn from them as they move through life. Having more people in the work force with a MFA allows the work force to become more open-minded to new ideas and collaborations.
