Welcome to Mexico from the Aztecs to the Revolution of 1910.
I am Joanne Sánchez, and I will be your guide as we learn more about Mexican history. We will start our journey in time with a visit to the Aztec civilization, and how it was conquered, and then on to Spanish colonial society. We will then look at the factors that led to Mexican independence, and those that contributed to the outbreak of revolution in 1910. Our journey will end with the study of the leaders of this revolution and the changes they envisioned for Mexico. Throughout the trip, we will take time to examine the themes in Mexican history that are reflected in contemporary Mexico, as well as the globalization that began in colonial times .
