Adventure 1: Capitol of Texas

After visiting this location, I was inspired by the actions that take place in this building and the beautiful architecture of the dome. I created buttons for this adventure because I feel like it fit the location because often when a representative or politician campaigns they use pins. I thought that the packing should be simple and put more design work into the presentation of the buttons and instructions. Deciding to create a mini file with the legal jargon definitely contributed to the over all design.

Adventure 2: The Great Outdoors

I used a play on words by using “sew” by thinking about creating an embroidered patch, so instead of “sewing” a patch one can “sow” a patch of seed. By using the specialty font, text language that related to sewing and embroidery (sew, thimble, weave, dart), and packaged needle and thread, this helped the overall design convey to be clever and novelty item.
