MSEM Graduate in Belgium Researching How to Make Electric Cars Even More Sustainable

Liberal Studies major Gwen Bailey ’12, MSEM ’15, is working on a PhD at Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (also called “KU Leuven”) in Leuven, Flanders, Belgium. Bailey is an Early Stage Researcher at KU Leuven, and her current research is on electric cars: specifically, recycling the magnets in their motors or repurposing them in next-generation electric cars, wind turbines or electric bicycles. Bailey is the primary presenter in a thoughtful yet humorous video publicizing the research group’s work.
