Development, Foundation Relations

Corporate and Foundation Relations (CFR), part of University Advancement, secures external grant funds from non-governmental sources, primarily foundations and corporations, to support university priorities: research, programming, scholarships, capital projects, etc. CFR can help you: identify a potential funder for your project, polish up a proposal for submission, and review final grant report materials. Please share your project idea with the CFR team as they will be able to tell you if there is already an identified funder whose interests align with your project. Contact Foundation Relations staff member Meghann Bolton (mbolton@stedwards.edu), and she can help you win money for your project!

PivotRP – Database of Funders for Your Project
University Advancement has recently invested in an exciting new resource for faculty. PivotRP is a database of private foundation and government grant opportunities that can help you identify additional potential funders for your project. Additionally, you can save your project funding searches, and PivotRP will continuously look for funding for you and then alert you when there is a potential funding match. Universities nationwide are starting to use this tool as a resource for faculty, and we are excited to bring this tool to St. Edward’s. To get started accessing PivotRP, click on the startup guide PDF below, which tells you how to log in (page 3), use the advanced search feature (page 11), and the saved search feature that will email you when there is a funding match (page 22). If you identify a private foundation opportunity that you would like to pursue, please contact CFR; for government grant opportunities, please contact OSP to partner together.
