Katy Swafford, PhD has been teaching at St. Edwards for almost 10 years. She is a Licensed Psychologist in private practice and founder and Director of the Eidetic Imagery Institute.  Dr. Swafford loves to teach and uses an experiential approach that derives from the nature of the work she does.  Utilizing technology to enhance interaction and engagement is Dr. Swafford’s primary focus.

Dr Swafford’s experiential focus comes from an interest in the science and physiology of the body in the field of Psychology.  She has served on the Board of Directors and is the current President of the United States Association of Body Psychotherapy.  USABP is a professional organization of Clinicians who practice an orientation that focuses on the somatic or physical responses of clients as the entry point and method of therapy.
