Carbohydrate Biomolecules

Students took notes on the chemical compounds of carbohydrates and how monosaccharides combine through the process of dehydration synthesis to form polysaccharides. After taking notes, students were given an assessment that walked them through, step by step, the chemical composition and necessary building blocks of different carbohydrates. This process was the same for the other biomolecuels studied in the unit: proteins, lipids and nucleic acids.
