1. Type Specimen Book: Bodoni  (click link to the left for web view pdf)

For this project we were given a list of type faces to choose from to design our booklet with. My design for this booklet was inspired by personal interest in fashion and the stylistic nature of the type face Bodoni. Initially I had an idea of how I wanted to represent this type face, mostly in using this font in a larger size. Using Adobe InDesign, I organized my content first by assigning pages to its specific content required. After this step, I choose my color scheme of black, white with accents of light aqua blue and  hot magenta pink. I wanted to include a design element that would relate to the stylish nature of the type face, so I made chevron and bold striped prints to embellish the pages. Overall my combination and execution of design for a type face booklet on Bodoni enhanced and displayed the font in a bold, stylish, and effective manner. Lastly, the experience of creating and printing a double sided booklet was new area for me as a designer which I now know how to create.
