For this assignment we were given a list of onomatopoeia words to choose from. I choose the word fizz. My design incorporates the visual representation of the word fizz through the dot design rising above the letter forms. The design of the cocktail glass and stir out of the edited letter forms enhances the work as a whole because it suggests a specific kind of fizz instead of a generic understanding of the word.

I began sketching for this project by hand, then illustrated a total of 16 iterations on the computer using Adobe Illustrator. Out of the 16 iterations, one design was most effective and intriguing to continue to refine. In refining this design it took 4 more iterations to achieve the final piece displayed below.
