The Type Specimen Book was our final project for Typography I. Initially I chose to use Serifa, but Lorena encouraged me to use the comparable Univers typefaces to show the showcase the similarities between these serif and san serif typefaces designed by Adrian Frutiger. My goal was to effectively display these typefaces in a variety of point sizes in lower and upper case. I decided on displaying each letter and main glyphs in 36pt, 24pt, and 12pt.

Typographic Poster

The Typographic Poster assignment focuses on using one typeface to design a poster for a summer program. This project was the first time I had used Adobe InDesign, so I struggled with being able to effectively use the technology, as well as effectively using hierarchy and color to design this poster. The layout and color scheme is based off of the Italian flag, which helped to define the grid and placement of text.
