I chose to create a map of my path from home to the university for my Graphic Design I class, because it is a walk I take very often, and I enjoy observing what’s around me, and how I feel when walking/driving to school. Rather than be very specific with details, I wanted to express how I felt when going to school, symbolize what home means to me, and what the arts building, which was my endpoint, is a big part of my life. The map was my first one, and I felt I could’ve done much more to it, but I chose to leave the original version to be able to compare what my progress has been like with the other maps and more similar projects.
