brogan ward is a mixed media artist focused on gender and particularly the female perspective.  She was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and moved to Austin, Texas to pursue an art career.  She will receive a Bachelor’s degree of Studio Art from St. Edward’s University in May of 2014.  She has interned for Austin ArtCo and the AIPP Program of the City of Austin’s Economic Growth & Redevelopment Services and is currently an assistant to the Exhibit Specialist for the People’s Gallery 2014 at City Hall.  Brogan has assisted Austin portrait artist Nicole Jeffords with her studio space, mixed oil paint under the direction of Austin realist painter Graydon Parrish, and been active in both EAST and WEST Austin Studio Tour.  She has shown in a solo exhibition at Strange Brew, Austin Coffee and an exhibition of a collaborative piece at the 2013 Greater Austin Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Gala.  Brogan identifies as a feminist and this heavily influences her work.
