My greatest strengths in Rhetoric & Composition include:

  • Being able to analyze text quickly
  • Seeing conceptual meaning behind the text

For greater success in this course, I need to:

  • I need to stay up to date on the agenda for the class

My greatest strengths in Religion & Philosophy include:

  • Understanding lecture material
  • Taking concise notes

For greater success in this course, I need to:

  • Read articles that are assigned thoroughly

My greatest strengths in Visual Studies include:

  • Having an art background
  • Having a basic understanding of how properties work within an art piece

For greater success in this course, I need to:

  • Take time outside of class to practice the material I learn in class

My greatest strengths in Art & Design include:

  • Being able to produce artwork quickly
  • Integrating what I’ve learned in my Visual Studies class with my assignments in this class

For greater success in this course, I need to:

  • make sure I am not sacrificing the quality of my work for due dates

My greatest strengths in Intro to Problem Solving & Computing include:

  • comprehension of programming and operating systems

My Computer Skills include:

  • Operating Lightroom, inDesign, Bridge, Mac & Windows operating systems
  • learn how to efficiently use creative suites like photoshop

Research & writing skills:

My greatest strengths as a researcher/writer include:

-Gathering the proper evidence to support my stance in a research paper

I need to work on these aspects of research and writing:

-Staying on topic

-Making my stance clear

-Citing sources correctly

I learn best & accomplish most when:

I work with the material hands on. Physically being able to interact with what I am learning about helps improve knowledge retention.

 

I was struggling in my Religion & Philosophy class, these are the 10 ways I improved my performance:

1. I actually read the articles assigned

2. Organized an outline for my weekly essay a week in advanced

3. Did external research on the weekly question

4. Went to the writing center

5. Took my professors feedback into consideration for the upcoming article

6. Made my lecture notes short with enough information to use in the essay

7. Printed the articles out and annotated them (knowledge retention)

8. Stopped procrastinating on reading the articles

9. Reflecting on lecture material immediately after the class

10. Showed up to class even if I had to fight myself to get out the comfort of my bed
