Academic Affairs joins Student Life in helping the university move a step further in preserving our environment by using an app called Guidebook to cut down on printing thousands of pages of paper. Information for the 2016 St. Edward’s Commencement ceremonies can now be accessed using Guidebook, providing information such as dates and times of the ceremonies, graduation requirements, and a schedule of events. Click here on a mobile device or visit https://guidebook.com/getit/ to download the Guidebook app. Once you’ve downloaded it, search for “2016 St. Edward’s University Commencement”. Academic Affairs says that the information will be updated on a regular basis so you can check it throughout the school year to stay in the loop.
You may remember that earlier this year, Student Life moved their “St. Edward’s University Guide” for new students to the Guidebook app, thus saving approximately 65,000 sheets of paper, the equivalent of about eight trees! While Academic Affairs has not printed the commencement information in guide form before, having it on the mobile app saves people time from having to click around on multiple links as they have done in the past. Additionally, having it easily accessible on your phone decreases the likelihood that you might print certain pages of information out on your own.
We thank these and other departments for helping to further St. Edward’s sustainable mission!
