The Center for Ethics and Leadership invites students, faculty, staff and alumni to hear Drew Corson speak about environmental policy and ethics titled, “Applied Environmental Ethics in Environmental Consulting.”
The presentation will be on Tuesday, February 14th from 4:30 – 6:00 PM in Fleck 305, and will cover environmental ethics and its applications at a large consulting firm and ongoing or completed projects related to the improvement of environmental quality. Projects discussed will be in the fields of remediation (cleanup) of contaminated soil and water, climate change, ecosystem restoration, solar and wind energy, and green building. The presentation will conclude with thoughts on how to operate effectively in the workplace and build a career.
Drew Corson is a Senior Environmental Scientist and Project Manager for the Austin office of AECOM, a Fortune 200 environmental and engineering consulting firm. For over 20 years Drew has performed environmental site investigations and remediation at sites across the country for both private- and public-sector clients. He holds a B.A. in Environmental Science from the University of Virginia and an M.S. in Environmental Sciences and Engineering from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
