Elisa Robles ’19 takes you into The Jungle

Identity is the senior graphic design exhibition that showcases the intersection of creativity, ingenuity, and tenacity. The show is open now through February 22. We’re highlighting projects with a focus on sustainability issues.

Tell us about The Jungle.
The Jungle is a platform for conversation about the environment, it is a platform for all content pertaining to it. Ideally, The Jungle will be a platform to host environmental news, observations, art, and scientific news. I was inspired to create The Jungle when I thought about my love for the environment as a kid.

What inspired you to create this platform?
I wanted to create a platform that could be a collaborative effort to host all things people need to know. I wanted to have a positive publication that had beautiful art and was still serious about its message.

What role does sustainability play on The Jungle?
Sustainability plays a huge role in the research I do and the kind of content I’d like to write. Writing about scientific breakthroughs involve talking about what is a possibility in our future and sustainability is a huge part of moving forward, as not being sustainable is not a realistic goal for our future.
