We invite you to take the Pledge by tying a ribbon around the tree on the southeast end of Holy Cross Hall lawn. The Pledge and brightly colored ribbons will be next to the tree, so all you have to do is show up and make the commitment to preserve our beloved Earth! More information can be found here.

Blessing of the Animals/Pets, 4:30-5:30 PM, Holy Cross Lawn at the Sukkot
In the spirit of St. Francis, patron saint, have your pet blessed. Please make sure that your pet is controlled and dogs must be leashed. Photographs of pets will also suffice.

Campus Bio-Diversity Walk, 12-12:30 PM, Sorin Oak
Dr. Bill Quinn will lead a tour of the various gardens that have been designed to meet sustainability needs for the campus. Meet at Sorin Oak at noon!
Nostra Aetate Lecture: How Pope Francis’ Environmental Encyclical, Laudato Si’, Recalls the Religious Roots of Environmentalism, 7 PM, JBWS, Carter Auditorium
Mark Stoll from the Department of History and Director of Environmental Studies at Texas Tech University will speak on Pope Francis’ encyclical on climate change. More information can be found here.
