Post Format: Standard. Add Media:>Create Gallery>Upload Files. Gallery Settings: Specify how many columns your gallery should be. Link to Attachment Page.

Post uploading images at time of post.

Uploading a few images and Attaching to this specific post. Using Format: “Standard” and NOT Format: Gallery. With “Standard” seems to be no problem with linking. Changed to Format: Gallery in Edit Post and this seemed to do nothing.
