Seeing the upperclassman’s work was not only inspiring, but also challenging. Viewing their work and hearing about their various accomplishments and successes motivates me to want to work and be as good as they are. Because of their hard work, perseverance and love for their art, they’ve excelled in their work.

Faith Robbins: Her presentation was very compelling since I’m a photo communications major, and website was beautiful. I loved the examples of her work that she passed around. Faith is inspiring because of how passionate she is about her work.

Many Counts: Mary’s website was very quirky, and I thought she had very edgy, interesting designs. I really enjoyed her alien book designs and drawings.

Diane Martinez: Diane’s work was fascinating because of how abstract it was. Even though she didn’t officially have a website, she still managed to convey her style and opinions.

John and Omar: I really enjoyed John and Omar’s presentation. I found that I was actually very intrigued by the kind of work that they’re doing. I liked hearing about their creative learning processes and seeing their game development.

Though I already have my own website, I do think I need to develop it more. Here are four websites that inspire me.

https://www.adamelmakias.com I love Adam Elmakias’s photography because it is true quality while still managing to be highly creative and immersive in the music world.

http://www.dinagoldstein.com Though Dina Goldstein’s work is very different from my usual taste, I love her ideas that she conveys with her pictures. Her photos are obviously studio shots, yet they are so realistically striking.

http://www.michaelkenna.net/index2.php The combination of beautiful landscapes and black and white coloring makes all of Michael Kenna’s photographs so compelling to me. The photos are moody and haunting which are two things I like in my own photography.

http://stevemccurry.com Steve Curry’s photos are compelling because of his distinct point of view that he uses to shoot in such foreign parts of the world. His shots are raw and real. They give you a real idea of what it’s really like over there.
