Having as native language French, The acquisition of English is gradual for me. In fact the exercises in class and outside of class are going pretty well on the whole, but the only problem that sometimes arises remains the language, the use of certain terms unknown to me. In these cases I note the words that posed me a problem to my understanding in order to translate them later. This method allows me to improve my English vocabulary.
For each exercise I try to put in place all the strategies that can allow my work
to really reflect myself, my personality and my interests. Also the most important for me is to not let my linguistic weaknesses impacting my works. Therefore I make sure to fill up the criteria of the exercises.
I have a very shy and quiet nature of this fact at the beginning of the semester just arrived in a new country and in a class where I didn’t know no one, I was almost speechless. But thanks to this course and sessions of critics I open little by little, as a flower.And now I feel much more comfortable with my classmates. I try to keep the momentum going because I realized how it improves my oral skills.
I am a perfectionist person so when i do something i used to do it well, therefore I do not watch the time I devoted to my art, I spend as much time as possible without worrying about exceeding my practice time. If it allows me to reach my final goal it is the most important. Among other things I’d rather put my hobbies and entertainments aside in favor of my art.
As a French proverb says “On apprend de nos erreurs” in other word we learn from our mistakes. Thus the criticism of others appears to be a source of improvement for me, it allows me to ad better apprehend my future errors. and it pushes me to always do better and avoid mistakes. My critical mind sees itself being developed not only in my artistic work but also in my everyday life and I am even able to transmit it to my friends.
I love challenges, therefore I challenge myself all the time. I ‘m always pushing my limits always aiming up, do better, improve myself, challenge myself. “If you don stand for something, You Will fall for anything” this quote always inspired me in all my fights, for me it is not easy to understand everything during the course but I always pushes the barrier (eg: Linguistic ) to go forward. And I’m even ready to move mountains to achieve my goals
I find this amazing class! I Learned So Many new things. I started this class works with shy, i did not really know what i was doing, i was just doing things to do it without being white ble to explain why i did it. But after that i have gained experience in this class I have a more open mind, I have learned to try new things ,from abstract to the allegory, but I could now explain the grace of my work signifiation that I learned
