Proportional Grid Booklet (graduation speeches)

For this project I designed a 4×16 inch pamphlet for Ken Burns Stanford Commencement Address. This speech was given in 2016 at Stanford University, therefore I took a formal approach to this project by using Requiem Display-HT for the title and Mercury Text G1 as the body text; both serif typefaces made by Hoefler & Co. and chosen for the easy to read characters and somewhat wide spacing that are legible at a small size, to maximize how much I could fit on a single page. I feel that this project was an introduction to indesign for me, and it allowed me to better understand the nuances within designing something like a pamphlet, that is often considered by non-designer to be simply laying text on a page.
