For my style lesson project I worked with Donaji Diaz to create a series of outfits for preppy and punk styles, and then combined them into a hybrid style. I felt that I was limited with this project due to time constraints and the clothes at my disposal, but I used what was available to me to construct preppy outfits that could work alone and mixed with the elements of the hybrid outfit as well as Donaji’s punk outfit. I wanted to enhance the hybrid concept idea by using the darker colors often found in punk clothing to create a pop of color using the contrast of the light or brightly colored style of preppy clothing.
