This Storm Drain fits into the overall concept of monsters because there is an element of mystery associated with them. When looking at the drain one could be reminded of Stephen King’s movie “It”. This brings a level of fear in a person as they step over or near one of these drains.

This represents a monster of different sorts. This illustrates alcoholism and to a degree, depression. Both of which are monsters that prey on those whose spirits are down and can eat at their life until there is no more. The use of black and white help convey the tragedy that comes from such monsters.

Although Police are not always as bad as the media and people portray them, there is an element of fear that surround them. This image is intended to represent the fear that is associated with the police and how they are not always acting in a way that keeps the public safe.

This image is used to illustrate man as its own monster. The litter and the filth that is left around a public spaces illustrates the the harmful effects that people have on our community. Granted that this is a small offense, it stills speaks largely about people’s attitude towards preservation of public space.

This is a illustration of not only the trash that people leave around, that kills our environment, but also of a cooperate monster. Jack in the box falls in the category of fast food that causes health issues when eaten too much. They don’t care about health issues associated with consuming their food, but rather the profit, so in that sense they are monsters.

This illustrates garbage as a monster, but also how people are each other’s monsters. Granted that the rain or natural elements could have taken the poster down, it’s more likely that someone tore it. This would explain all the tears and jagged edges. Tearing this down and just leaving it there demonstrates how as people we can be each others monsters and monsters to our community
