I love constructive criticism. I was very pleased with all the positive comments you guys had to say about my work. I do wish that there were some negative comments as well though because I know my work is far from perfect and I’m always looking for places where I can improve my work. I received an 88 which was sort of expected but I feel that I should have received more negative(but positive) feedback. After putting my photos together I instantly realized that I should have shot more. If I had, I might have had a better narrative for my photos together as a whole. My photos seem a little dull and boring compared to some of my peers work and this is kind of upsetting but it will also push me to do my absolute best. I also found that those who actually sounded like they knew what they were talking about had a better presentation and their work was good (Even if the photos weren’t that great.) It’s more than shooting the photos, it’s being able to explain and go further into detail over the aspects of your photos: what the reader may or may not be picking up when they look at them.

Notes:

(My notes are completely random and all over the place)

-Turn something that isn’t visually appealing into something that is.

Keep in mind:

– How things run together

– How an Image frames

– Try to see objects in different light, see them as shapes, as emotions…

– language

– (good narratives) Nature vs. man, Man vs. Man

– Comparisons when talking = Good
