Symbol Methodology

One of the things I learned, was that when designers make symbols they never really know if its going to catch on to the meaning its supposed to have. In the process of making these symbols, I worked to illustrate things I associate with passion, things like lips, kissing, fire, and hearts. The problem I was having was that those things did not embody the word of passion for me. So I began to focus on the emotions you feel in regards to passion, and started to illustrate non-objective forms with smooth or extremely jagged edges. From there I was able to simplify those marks so that they agreed with the clean and simple visual language of symbols.
