Domain IV: Fulfilling Professional Roles and Responsibilities
Artifact 1: This artifact contains a link to the National Science Teachers Association’s 2012 annual meeting in Indianapolis. This meeting included seminars from esteemed scientists including Bill Nye the science guy and the Texas Instruments spokes woman Mayim Bialik. I also attended several professional development workshops on ipad technology in the classroom and appropriate science classroom apps along with differentiation and problem-based learning activities for labs. Finally, the conference allowed several opportunities for networking and free supplemental materials. I met the woman in charge of teacher workshops in the Austin area and received several posters and DVDs to use in the classroom.
