I am a recent graduate of St. Edward’s University where I studied Elementary Education. During my university career I took part in a program that celebrated current Ready Set Teach members in the Austin area. Through the St. Edward’s Education program I took part in multiple internships where I worked with kinder, 2nd, and 5th graders. My junior year I participated in the pilot study abroad program for the St. Edward’s Education Department where I worked with students in a public school in Angers, France. During my senior year at St. Edward’s I was an officer of the St. Edward’s Educators club, and an avid member of the Autism Speaks St. Edward’s chapter. Throughout my senior year I also worked at the St. Ignatius after school care program and It was during my last semester at St. Edward’s that I was a student teacher in Mrs. Gilliland’s first grade classroom at Sunset Valley Elementary.

In High School I was proactive in my goal of becoming an educator. I participated in the Ready Set Teach Program, was a founder of my schools Texas Association of Future Educators chapter, taught vacation bible school and interned at the Youth Orchestras of San Antonio Summer Camp every summer.

In my spare time I love to read, watch a good movie, get crafty or go hiking. I have been playing the violin for over 13 years now and enjoy practicing violin with various groups as well as practicing other instruments such as ukulele whenever I have time. One of my favorite things to do is to bring my passion of music together with my passion for education, I enjoy sharing music with my students.
