What Motivates you to make art?

My motivation for making art is inspired by taking advantage of the moment. Seeing things that other artists have made encourages me to find that same meaning for myself. I enjoy finding new processes of creating art and trying new medias.

How do you use color, form, space and other dynamics-

In many of my drawings I like to let the media speak for itself, along with allowing the same leniency in the subject of the image, as well as for my mark making. Other drawings that are more subjective studies where I am searching for ways of representing what I like, and usually these are influenced by outside sources like the ones I’ve listed. However There are points where I have mixed both of these ideas, and ways of working.

How do you view your craftsmanship?

There are areas such as drafting where I enjoy taking time in attempting to make it perfect. However I enjoy the accidents that occur when working and being challenging to work around it. My craftsmanship can involve a sketch, depending on the subject and media. The things that I sometimes struggle with when working in either direction are knowing when it is finished.

Artist Statement

The work presented here is of my progress since 2012

I obsess in my work a use of different media or in experimenting with new ways of seeing.Strong influences in my style come from graffiti, beginning from when I saw the movie style wars in High School.

I enjoy bringing together different media and styles together to create something original.
