Blog Post #4

Part 1:

Seeing the upper classmen work was quite comforting. Before this I was wondering “what am I going to be doing in the next couple years?” Now that I kind of have an idea of it, I’m not as worried about what’s coming.

Faith’s work was more interesting to me because I used to be in yearbook, and I enjoy taking pictures. She kept me engaged in her presentation, and she got us all involved in it by passing around the pictures she took.

Mary’s work also caught my eye. I’m the not the most artistic when it comes to drawing, but Mary kind of inspired me to start drawing more. Her concepts were amazing and the projects she did turned out great and unique.

Diana was pretty organized with her presentation. I liked that she went into detail with her painting process, but she seemed to speak towards the professors more than the students in the class, which bothered me a bit.

John & Omar didn’t seem that prepared to present. I felt awkward watching them because it was like they didn’t know how to communicate what they were doing. Their presentation wasn’t bad; it just wasn’t what I expected it to be, being an IGST major myself.

The graffiti is really cool, and some of it is realistic. There are some jokes posted and it just really gives me a good laugh, mostly because it’s painted onto a wall for everyone to see.

The concept of this website is really cool. The artist, James Turrell, uses photography in different ways, but they all include space in some way. I could see myself creating a website like this one because I love to take pictures.

This site is just crazy. I love all the colors and designs and it just really got my attention. I’m not this creative, but I would enjoy doing something of this sort.

As a lover of cartoons and animation, I had to choose this site. It almost reminds me of video games and the fan art that people make for them, which I could see myself doing.
