Part 1

  1. The main point is the importance of art and how it makes our lives better.
  2. Artists learn to leverage the many resources available to make it easier to do business independently.
  3. Yes. Entrepreneurs design, launch, and run a new business, much like an artist. They create their own product and earn a profit from it in some sort of business, so an artist is definitely an entrepreneur.
  4. I mostly agree with “artists are craftspeople” because I can relate. I tend to do my best thinking while making something that seems random, then turning it into something completely different.
  5. I would add “artists are fine with being weird.” Most works of art that I’ve seen have been quite odd, but beautiful. As an artist, I think it’s impossible to be “normal,” you just have to be yourself.
  6. I think that everyone is an artist in their own way. Some people are just talented at certain things, and that’s amazing to me.

Part 2

  1. My grit score was 2.88 out of 5. I don’t agree with the survey, however. I’ve always stayed focused on a task, even when it seemed impossible to complete. I’m not one to give up easily.
  2. To increase my level of grit I could try harder to not get distracted by other sources, because that’s the only problem I’ve been having.
