This week I decided to switch up the game a little bit. I took photos of my thoughts along the same strip of South Congress I have been focusing on. I took many photos in places or near places that I captured other peoples thoughts before. These are my mandalas, they are part of a project I am working on and they capture my thoughts throughout the past year. As I walked up and down the familiar strip of South Congress I though about the places that other had put their thought – and some where they had not. I tried to capture the essence of South Congress around my notebook, to blend my location with my thoughts – making them one in the same in a way. From the people and the city in the background to the nooks and crannies I put my notebook in this is my South Congress, these are how a displayed my thoughts as many have before me and as many will follow. Eventually as part of my project, I will burn this notebook and all of its contents. This will be the only record of anything inside.
