- Personally, I believe that the designer is someone that has the idea, plans it out, and has a specific vision of what the final product will be. The artist is the person who brings it to life. For example, a fashions designer who comes up with and draws an idea for a gown is the designer. The artist would be the seamstress that brought the artists vision to life and actually created the gown based off the designers vision.
- Personally, I believe I am the artist. I have what I would consider limited creative abilities and I have never been good at coming up with good ideas from scratch, which is the job of the designer. I do, however, like to create art and if I was the seamstress in the gown example, I would enjoy bringing the gown to life even if I didn’t necessarily come up with the idea.
