This assignment called for us to explore altering typeface. After studying a variety of font alterations such as the world of wood type, the project required us to add ornamentation and alter the font.
For me, I think this project represents my unfamiliarity with altering typeface. I didn’t have a lot of experience in the past and I think I took a pretty basic route in my altering process, but I look at it as a learning experience. I wouldn’t label this as my best design ever, by far, but I did become more familiar with how to add ornamentation to font and making intentional moves to enhance the design of the typeface or relate it to a particular subject.
