Entry1

This week one of my diigo posts was about Iranian, Syrian, Chinese, and Russian relations and the other was about UN endorsed regulations across the globe to prevent citizens from fighting for ISIS and other terrorist organizations. I picked the first article because I don’t know much about Russia and why they were supporting Assad while the U.S. didn’t. I learned that many of the reasons Iran, China, and Russia support Syria’s regime have to do with Syria’s strategic location, although the whole situation seems really complicated. The other article caught my attention because it sounds like one of those things the UN says it needs to do in the name of some humanitarian concern when really there is some other agenda, like keeping tabs on us or herding us like cattle. Or maybe I have trouble understanding terrorism.
