In Western society today, we strive to create beauty and meaning through superficial means. This has prompted us to move at a radical pace which overlooks the already present beauty of our lives and the world around us. I am guilty of falling in line with societal norms and have realized the stressed, rushed, unsettled life these behaviors have caused me.

I have recently committed to slowing down and allowing the effortless beauty of our natural world to impact me. By using nature as my starting point, I am recreating, fragmenting and abstracting to give viewers a fresh perspective, often leaving them curious about the origins of each piece.

My work will be a catalyst that will inspire others to stop, look and be amazed by the intricacy and natural beauty of the world around us.
