This assignment was to make us start thinking about styles and how styles come about to exist. we chose a secondary style to combine with the infamous style known as preppy. The hybrid was a combination of the traditional preppy clothing and the Abaya. The Abaya is a Full-length, outer garment that covers the whole body except the head, feet, and hands and is commonly worn in Saudi Arabia. The idea of this hybrid and the styling/design of the hybrid came from combining the same clothing options together in a layering aspect. The design made the content become very unusual and almost resembled a heavy gown. The final look was very hard to move around in so it would not particularly be an everyday style.
