This project was about redesigning a Wikipedia page and converting into its own publication. The topic of this Wikipedia page had to be about something that interested us as individuals and then the class voted on the options. My topic ended up being about Anne Frank, and I initially chose this topic as one of my options because I have always had a very deep interest and curiosity about the holocaust and the people that were affected by this tragic event in history. The process I followed included gathering all contents from the wiki page and determining what content should be included and what other information is unnecessary. My whole design concept was to keep the design very appropriate to the topic. Since my topic was a very serious and tragic time I chose colors that resemble those emotions, I also chose to keep the layout simple and not too elaborate, although I did choose to have cutoff images and bold page numbers to add a little more visual aspect to the design. My design enhances the content because it gave a clear heading and subheading to different time periods and topics in Anne Franks’ life. The design of the cover was my idea and way of perceiving and visualizing remembrance and I think that this design embodied this concept well throughout the whole reader because it appears very faintly throughout the book.
