The goal of this project was to design an image that shows the experience of eating a meal. The 5 senses were used to describe my experience of eating breakfast. For each sense I used three different sensations. The difficulty in this project was visually recreating sensations of senses that do not involve sight. In some instances, I used abstract illustrations to represent sensation. Color, shape, and line were important in making the abstract images. Using Adobe Illustrator, I pieced together my project using new techniques.

Map to University
The goal of this project was to create a map that showed my personal journey from home to University. I used Adobe Illustrator to create the map. I made design decisions during the creative process to highlight certain parts of the path to University such as the magnifying bubbles, bright colors, and illustrations. I experimented with using Illustrator patterns to add aesthetic interest and to help distinguish between zones of the map.
Saddle Stitched Booklet
The goal of this project was to design and make a booklet that included content provided by the instructor. The booklet needed to have 2 typefaces, a pull quote, and saddle stitching. Indesign was used to make the booklet. I leaned about line spacing, appropriate text sizing, layouts, grids, and a lot more. I learned new terminology such as leading, rag, rivers and windows. I made sure to keep the booklet within a reasonable page count. I experimented with different layouts to help me compare different approaches. I felt my end design succeeded in my intent.
