The goal was to make a one-shot lip-dub video of Taylor Swift’s Shake It Off by the entire Image Methodology student population. Because it is a one-shot video, collaboration and planning were of incredible importance. When preparing to shoot the video, every motion, direction, and scene had to be planned out step by step. First, an easily accessible location had to be agreed upon before we could do anything else. Then we were each given our specific roles for planning the video. Along with a few others, I was in charge of props and costuming. Our decision to make the costume color scheme black and white with a pop of color mostly stemmed from what we assumed would be easy for all the cast to acquire while still having a discernable theme. There were not too many props that needed to be brought, however, most of the decisions for what they were came from the choreographers anyway. After all the planning was done and it came down to actually shooting the video, decisions were made on-site on an as-need basis to make filming go more smoothly and efficiently.
