Businesses open 24 hours are always pertinent to students, therefore they are marked specifically on this map. I chose this section of Austin and it’s roads because I traverse them everyday day so have a clear idea of traffic flow. The map is simple and has very few roads or information beside what is needed to get bearings of where the map is in the city. It needs to be easily understood so any extra information would be unnecessary and would clutter the map. Because the idea is to stay simple, I chose basic shapes such as circles and stars to be the markers for important locations.
