Weather Report

This animated piece was created to show my understanding of type hierarchy and increase my ability to make meaningful motion choices. We had previously learned about the L.A.T.C.H. structures and After Effects so my goal was to merge that knowledge together. When creating the overall look of the video, I took into account the content: weather. The background is suggestive of the sky without blatantly being a picture of it. The floating orbs containing temperatures are supposed to be indicative of the light, fluffy airiness of clouds. I chose the typeface to compliment the fun, light feel of the video. The most difficult part of the process was creating different LATCH structures that were easily understood and would then transition well into the next structure.
