These posters are more about process over product. The intention was to become more comfortable on Adobe Illustrator and with using the pathfinder window. My biggest challenge was understanding my abilities within the program and how to use pathfinder and illustrator to my advantage. Also, figuring out how to modify the original type was interesting. I had to use techniques that complimented the type as it is originally so as not to make it unrecognizable or too drastically different. My modifications were made with the intention to only accent what was already there. In this case, the letter ‘B’ set in Cooper Black had no fill added and was multiplied several times to show off the shape of the letter. To add a little more texture to it, the thick lines are not solid, but instead made up of many thin lines.
