This video project was designed to introduce us to a new program, AfterEffects, and the many different components within it. The animation was a mix of ‘found’ objects that already existed and newly created ones. When recording found sounds for the video I tried to get a mix of natural, organic sounds and then some rhythmic, repetitive, man made sounds as well. When it came to incorporating them into my video, I mixed an organic sound, the wind, with a more repetitive sound of someone sweeping for the background noise. The two opposing sounds compliment each other. The background images are two of a series of micro scans from existing found objects. I chose these particular images because they adds a lot of texture to the video. They are scans of sugar in the raw and my hair. The animation is a dragon because I chose the constellation Draco to base it off of. The color scheme of reds, blues and purples come from their ties to royalty like the dragon often is.
