Design Entreprenuership: Dr. Buddy

The purpose of this assignment was to develop a unique product not yet created in today’s market. I came up with the idea of Dr. Buddy, a “coozie” like plush toy that parents can slip around children’s medicine bottles to help disguise the medicine they need to give their children. This in turn helps ease the process and add comfort to the children who have fears of medicine. Below are the slides of my presentation to help better explain my research, branding and goal for this product.Slide1 Slide2 Slide3 Slide4 Slide5 Slide6 Slide7 Slide8

78702 Eateries Book

This book was created during my graphic design 3 class. I chose my content based on my interests and the culture of E Cesar Chavez. The purpose of this book is to show the gradual change of culture through the establishment and closure of restaurants in the area since the founding of Austin. It really is interesting to see how the evolution of dining coincides with the changes of residents who live and work there.

Program Booklet: Fullbright

This booklet is the itinerary and complete schedule for Fullbright’s annual gathering. It includes speaker’s biographies, the schedule, a map of the building, sponsors, and local places of interest to dine during their stay.

This is the mini book I created to accompany the main booklet guests would receive. The purpose of this booklet is to be small enough that the user could wear it as a badge of sorts and have an overview of the agenda, events, and locations at the palm of their hand.

Tattoo Design

This project helped me grasp how wording, packaging, fonts, colors and size all play into how someone experiences your work. I had a hard time thinking of a memento to go with my Blunn Creek adventure and ultimately I wish we had more time to complete this project. I feel as if it was a bit rushed towards the end of the assignment and I didn’t have enough time to gather materials/ play around with different ideas. I really liked the concept of the assignment because it forced you to think in the viewer’s eyes which is what a graphic designer should always be doing.
