This was the first Type 1 project, where we played with representing a sound through typography. We were encouraged to blur the line of readability and take the word to the edge of recognition. I chose to emphasize the “oooooo” sound and wanted to convey the reverberating aspect of the echo. As the echo has a movement through space, I wanted the text to convey that sense of space too.
