This poster is for the event “Linotype: The Film.” I went through many different types of drafts before coming to this final poster. The beginning of this project I did not have a clear idea of what the poster would look like in true size. Once I took a reflective look at the earlier drafted posters, I realized what I needed to do to make the final successful. The concept of type hierarchy became more prominent as I extended the difference between type sizes. Certain words and phrases were then colored differently or bolded to stand out against the body text. Professor Lorena Howard showed us the actual film we made the poster for. I transferred the idea of moveable type into my final poster by extending lines between letters in the title.
